Abstract:Surfactants are one of the important ingredients of cosmetics. However, their penetration and penetration‐promoting behavior in the skin has not been well understood. Aiming to explore the surfactant penetration in skin, a novel fluorescent surfactant F‐C16, based on sodium fluorescein, was synthesized in this paper. F‐C16 has a fluorescence maxima (λem) of around 530 nm, and its fluorescence increased with the polarity of solvent. It possesses good emulsifying properties and low cytotoxicity. Hence, it can be… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
