Synthesis and Characterization of Co-Substituted Ferrite Nanocomposites

Abstract: We report the synthesis of Co NiFe O (where x is 0, 0.25, 0.50, 0.75, 1) nanoparticles (NPs) by a wet chemical method using carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) solution as surfactant. Their structure and magnetic properties were evaluated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier-Transform Infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). The gas and humidity sensing properties of the samples were also investigated. Powder X-ray diffraction analysis demonstrated the formation of face-centered cubic str… Show more

“…The dispersion of such materials in a polymer matrix to form nanocomposites can find interest in the fields of communications and aerospace where particular electromagnetic properties are needed [4,5]. Some electromagnetic properties can be tailored when the grain size is reduced to the Nanoscale [6,7]. Sij scattering parameters measurement is a key step for an electromagnetic characterization.…”
