Synthesestrategie für rohrförmige Moleküle

Abstract: Das konformativ flexible „molekulare Rohrstück”︁ 1 a läßt sich durch Cyclisierung entsprechender [3.3]Phane nach dem Verdünnungsprinzip herstellen. Die Bildung des Isomers 1 b mit gekreuzter Anordnung der Phan‐Einheiten kann aufgrund NMR‐spektroskopischer Befunde und mechanistischer Überlegungen ausgeschlossen werden. Der Hohlraum in 1 a bietet Platz für Moleküle von der Größe des Benzols.
