Crotonaldehyd-dimethylhydrazon (1) wird durch elektrophile Reagenzien wie Chlor. Brom. Iod, N-Chlorsuccinimid, Arylsulfenylchlorid, Phenylsulfinylchlorid oder Nitryl-tetrafluoroborat an C-3 unter Bildung der Produkte 108-c, 188, b, 25 und 26 substituiert. Bei Einwirkung vonpNitrobenzoylchlorid auf 1 erhitlt man dagegen das Dienhydrazid 3. Acrolein-dimethylhydrazon (28) reagiert mit Diazoessigester zum Cyclopropanderivat 29, rnit p-Chlorbenzonitriloxid zum Isoxazolin 32. Reactions of Unsaturated Aldehyde Dimethylhydrazones with Electrophilic ReagentsCrotonaldehyde dimethylhydrazone (1) is substituted at C-3 by electrophiles such as chlorine, bromine, iodine, arylsulfenyl chloride, phenylsulfinyl chloride, and nitronium tetrafluoroborate to form the products 108 -c, 188, b, 25, and 26. In contrast, from 1 and pnitrobenzoyl chloride the dienehydrazide 3 is obtained. Acrolein dimethylhydrazone reacts with diazoacetic ester to give the cyclopropane derivative 29. Isoxazole 32 is obtained from 28 andpchlorobenzonitrile oxide.Aldehydhydrazone kbnnen am C-Atom 1 sowohl durch nucleophile als auch elektrophile Reagenzien angegriffen werden. Wie Azomethine reagieren Hydrazone z. B. bei Umsetzungen mit Grignard-oder lithiumorganischen Verbindungen. Die MOglichkeit zur Addition eines Elektrophils an C-1 wird verstlndlich, wenn man beachtet. da8 der endstlndige Stickstoff ein Elektronenpaar zur Verfilgung stellen kann. Hydrazone sind daher auch als umgepolte Carbonylverbindungen oder als Am-Enamine anzusehen.
