The results of a phytosociological investigation of the Quercus coccifera L. stands occurring along the Adriatic and Ionian coasts in south Albania are given. The surveyed stands are localized in the Thermo-Mediterranean and Meso-Mediterranean belts. On the basis of literature and unpublished data, Q. coccifera stands extend from the shoreline up to 680 m of altitude, within the Quercetea ilicis vegetation zone. According to numerical analysis, Q. coccifera stands in south Albania can be divided into two broad groups forming macchia of 3–4 m height and low shrublands [0.5–1.5(-2) m)] defined primarily by degree of human pressure and altitudes. In addition, relevés from Q. coccifera stands in Albania were differentiated from Croatian and Montenegrin the Fraxino orni-Quercetum cocciferae associations. Conversely, Q. coccifera stands in south Albania share several biological and ecological similarities with those of the eastern Adriatic coast: hemicryptophytes prevailed and the chorological spectrum highlights a clear dominance of the steno-Mediterraneans. With respect to indicator values, an important differentiation from the eastern Adriatic associations was shown only in higher light intensity of the stands in Albania.

While working on several projects dealing with the flora of Neretva River delta in south Croatia, interesting floristic discoveries were made. During fieldtrips, freshwater habitats (rivers, channels and lakes) were in the focus of the survey, and were studied in detail both from the boat and from the mainland. Altogether 69 plant taxa were recorded and are presented in the results, out of which 25 taxa associated with aquatic habitats (hydrophytes, helophytes and species of riparian habitats) were discussed in more detail. These taxa are rare, threatened, invasive, newly found or otherwise seen as important for the studied area and their distribution maps are also presented.

The vegetation and flora of the south Croatian islet of Badija (0.97 km 2 ), located in the Korčula archipelago, were studied in 2014 and 2015. From a total of 52 phytosociological relevés, 12 floristically and ecologically distinctive vegetation communities were identified and described (eight associations, one subassociation and three stands) within nine vegetation classes. Among them, Teucrio capitatiMarrubietum incani Jasprica et Milović 2016 is described and proposed as a new association, belonging to the Stellarietea mediae class. Altogether, nine NATURA 2000 habitat types were recognized. Regarding the flora, 27 new vascular plant taxa (26 species and one subspecies) were recorded for the islet. Therefore the entire recorded flora of the islet of Badija now consists of 409 vascular plant taxa. Of the newly recorded taxa, four are considered to be invasive. One taxon is strictly protected by law. The Red List categories Least Concern (LC) and Data Deficient (DD) are assigned to one species in each. Vegetacija i flora južnojadranskog otočića Badije (0,97 km 2 ), smještenog u korčulanskom arhipelagu, istraživani su 2014. i 2015. Na temelju 52 fitocenološke snimke određeno je i opisano 12 floristički i ekološki različitih vegetacijskih zajednica (osam asocijacija, jedna subasocijacija i tri sastojine) u okviru devet vegetacijskih razreda. Među njima, asocijacija Teucrio capitati-Marrubietum incani Jasprica et Milović 2016 opisana je i predložena kao nova za znanost, a pripada vegetacijskom razredu Stellarietea mediae. Uvtrđeno je devet NATURA 2000 stanišnih tipova. Determinirano je 27 novih svojti (26 vrste i jedna podvrsta) vaskularnih biljaka za otočić, pa je ukupan broj svojti sada 409. Među novim svojtama, četiri su invazivne, jedna je zakonski strogo zaštićena.
