“…Onishi et al [46] generated a novel synergistic SIR containing both 1-phenyl-1,3-tetradecanedione (C 11 phbDK) and tri-noctylphosphine oxide (TOPO) for the adsorption of Li + with high selectivity relative to Na + and K + due to the synergic effect. Svoboda et al [47] impregnated XAD-7 resins with binary mixtures of cobalt dicarbollide and one of the two phosphororganic extractants (dibutyl-N,N-diethylcarbamoylmethyl phosphonate, DBDECMP, or octyl(phenyl)-N,N-diisobutylcarbamoylmethyl phosphine oxide, CMPO) by the dry method. A synergic effect of up to three orders of magnitude occurring in the system was observed for Eu(III) extraction from HNO 3 solutions with various concentrations.…”

“…The TBPimpregnated XAD-4 presented satisfactory column performance on the separation of the trivalent metal ions Am (III) and Eu(III) [92], and the column performance improved as the TBP loading increased, taking the tremendous internal surface area of the macroporous polymer into account [93]. The Eu(III) extraction from HNO 3 solutions by resins impregnated with a dual-extractant is described in [47]. Moreover, D2EHPA and PC-88A also have advantages of high separation efficiency for REEs [94,95].…”

“…Onishi et al 46 generated a novel synergistic SIR containing both 1‐phenyl‐1,3‐tetradecanedione (C 11 ph β DK) and tri‐ n ‐octylphosphine oxide (TOPO) for the adsorption of Li + with high selectivity relative to Na + and K + due to the synergic effect. Svoboda et al 47 impregnated XAD‐7 resins with binary mixtures of cobalt dicarbollide and one of the two phosphororganic extractants (dibutyl‐ N , N ‐diethylcarbamoylmethyl phosphonate, DBDECMP, or octyl(phenyl)‐ N , N ‐diisobutylcarbamoylmethyl phosphine oxide, CMPO) by the dry method. “…Kyrs et al used the synergetic mixtures of phosphonates with chloro protected cobalt bis(dicarbollide) on the extraction chromatographic support XAD-7 [284][285][286]. In the latter of these studies, it was found that in fact no solvent was necessary for the uptake of europium from nitric acid media.…”

“…In the latter of these studies, it was found that in fact no solvent was necessary for the uptake of europium from nitric acid media. In addition, it is not surprising that at conditions in which the organophosphorus compound was preliminarily sorbed on the support and a solution of the chloro protected cobalt bis(dicarbollide) with Eu added afterwards [285], the "sorption" dramatically increased. A mixture of H + 12with either DBDECMP or CMPO was dissolved in methanol, the support was dipped into the solution, and the methanol was then evaporated at room temperature.…”
