Among β-diketone, 1-phenyl-3-methyl-4 trifluoroacetyl-2-pyrazolin-5-one (HPMTFP) has strong electron with drawing effect of trifluoroacetyl group, and acidic character (pka = 3.12) that can be used as a reagent for the extraction of hydrolysable metals at low pH range [22].
