Novi Sad is the second-most populous city in Serbia. As an urban entity, and an immigration factor, its importance increased after the break-up of the former Yugoslavia. Due to the immigration of inhabitants, both from the former republics of Yugoslavia and from other parts of Serbia, population growth has led to morphological changes. The city expanded towards Futog, Rumenci and Bački Jarak. In addition, the city has undergone significant changes in the internal physiognomy, in the central parts of the city, as well as in the other parts. In the central parts of the city, efforts are being made to preserve old architectural buildings. However, in the eighties of the last century, the demolition of old buildings in the center began. In their place, they sprouted buildings of modern architecture, which do not fit into the previous style of construction, pertaining to the late 19th and early 20th century. This trend continued later throughout the 21st century. Particularly evident are the changes in the shift of individual, collective construction, which is characteristic of the center itself and the narrower and broader surroundings of the city's central parts. Collective housing facilities are springing up all over Novi Sad, depending on the investor. The style of construction is changing, as well as the purpose of some urban spaces. An additional problem is the increasing traffic load and congestion of roads, especially during the time of getting to school and work, as well as the time of return. These are just some of the apparent issues that Novi Sad faced in the post-socialist period, which need to be solved for the sustainability of an organized city.

The aim of research is to determine what kind of effects would price liberalization in public utility sector produce on inflation, standard of living and air quality in the Republic of Serbia. For the purpose of analysis financial reports of public utility companies were used including population number of 14 Serbian cities that were part of research, share of utility prices in consumption price index (CPI) and air quality statistics for analysed cities. The analysis covers period of 2008-2016 when significant changes in the operations of Serbian public utility companies occurred. Since all public utility companies receive the subsides from state and local authorities and most of them achieve loss in their reports, analysis will show economic and environmental effects from possible switch of public utility companies to marketbased surroundings. This will help in determining the role of public utility companies in achieving sustainable development concept, which is important for creating future sustainable activities of public utility companies in the Republic of Serbia.

This study aims to present an environmental gaseous sensing analysis using drones in urban development control for the industrial area. The data collection method based on the possibility of gas dispersion in a heavy industrial area in Klang, Malaysia, to the neighbouring land uses. The sniffer has carried five types of gaseous sensors and mounted in DJI Matrice 100 quadcopter UAV. However, for this study, we analysed two significant gases related to an industrial area consisting of Carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) and Hydrocarbon (CxH y). The information has been collected in two modes of time which is in the early morning and afternoon. The data was mapped and analysed with a vector layer to identify either it breaches a concentration limits for gases collected. The finding stated that, the morning concentration reading is more dense compare to the afternoon. Results show that CO 2 and CxHy still under control and minimise the risk for the local population. However, the safety precaution should be undertaken since gas dispersion's future potential would go beyond and affect the surrounding activities. In conclusion, this study shows the UAVs potential as one of the best mechanisms to monitor the environmental effect. Simultaneously, there is a need to review existing urban development control since climate change and sustainability are linked through their interaction in industries, and its surrounding land uses.
