Internet of Things (IoT) yang awalnya digagas untuk perbaikan proses bisnis pada industri manufaktur, saat ini sudah menjadi bagian dari berbagai sektor perekonomian, termasuk sektor primer seperti pertanian. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui inovasi berbasis IoT pada sektor pertanian dengan menganalisis metadata publikasi ilmiah yang relevan pada database akademik Scopus sehingga dapat memberikan gambaran bagi peneliti, praktisi, dan pengambil kebijakan tentang inovasi IoT yang telah diimplementasikan secara global. Pengembangan IoT pada sektor pertanian menjadi keniscayaan sejalan dengan meningkatnya kebutuhan akan pangan dan keinginan untuk mengembangkan pertanian secara berkelanjutan. Penelitian diawali dengan penelusuran publikasi ilmiah secara terstruktur dan dianalisis secara kuantitatif menggunakan pendekatan scientometrics. Hasil analisis menunjukkan publikasi ilmiah terbanyak dengan topik IoT pada sektor pertanian berasal dari India, China, dan Amerika Serikat. Analisis terhadap kata kunci menunjukkan adanya lima klaster kata kunci yang terbentuk. Konsep yang mengemuka pada setiap klaster meliputi internet of things, smart agriculture, cloud computing, dan soil moisture (klaster 1); automation, RFID, agricultural products (klaster 2), agriculture, sensors, wireless sensor networks (klaster 3), sensor nodes (klaster 4); dan crops, cultivation, precision agriculture (klaster 5).

Improvement of Assembly Manufacturing Process through Value Stream Mapping and Ranked Positional Weight: An Empirical Evidence from the Defense Industry

This study aims to improve the assembly manufacturing process to solve the workload imbalances by combining value stream mapping (VSM) and ranked positional weight (RPW). An empirical study was conducted in a defense manufacturing firm located in Indonesia. The study specifically focused on 155 components and 56 tasks distributed among 43 assembly workstations in one weapon product. The results of the analysis showed a significant reduction in the total cycle time, from 5121 s (85.35 min) to 3620 s (60.33 min), or a decrease of 29%. Additionally, the study found improvements in the balance of the assembly line as measured by balance delay, line efficiency, and smoothness index performance indicators. The application of VSM and RPW in this study is unique in the context of the defense industry, as it provides empirical analysis on cycle time and assembly line balance, which is rarely studied. The results of this study contribute to the advancement of literature in the field and provide valuable insights for other organizations in the defense industry and other manufacturing industries. By improving the efficiency and balance of the weapon assembly line, this study has the potential to increase productivity and reduce waste.

Household waste in Bandung City is one of the problems due to the increase in waste generated by the community from year to year and the limited land or Final Disposal Site (TPA) in Bandung City. The land capacity at the Final Disposal Site of Sarimukti decreases every year and the waste generation reaches 9 meters. This happens because there is no effective and efficient waste management technology. To overcome this waste generation, this research was carried out which aims to find out how the current household waste is processed, identifying lean operations of zero waste management processing, perform a zero waste management technology simulation using a dynamic system, comparing the total costs required with the total benefits received when using zero waste management technology, and designing a lean canvas business model for the processing of zero waste management. This study uses a cost benefit analysis method with a System Dynamics approach in conducting model simulations and designing a lean canvas business model for zero waste management. The results of the study consist of three scenarios, namely pessimistic, most likely and optimisticic scenarios, each scenario shows that Bandung City can achieve zero waste conditions in the fifth year for the most likely scenario and the fourth year for the optimisticic scenario except for the pessimistic scenario. Benefit Cost Ratio value for pessimistic scenario is 0.660, Most Likely scenario is 0.767, optimisticic scenario is 1.172. This method allows the occurrence of lean operations in waste management which are shown by flowcharts and process graphs by eliminating activities that do not have added value. Furthermore, to support the operations of this research, a recommendation is made in the form of lean operations using 5S on household waste sorting behavior and the preparation of a lean canvas business model so that the implementation of Zero Waste Management is optimal
