Survey on the use of psychotropic drugs by twelve military police units in the municipalities of Goiânia and Aparecida de Goiânia, state of Goiás, Brazil

Abstract: The high prevalence rate of psychotropic drug use found amoung military police officers in two cities of the state of Goiás in Brazil can be considered an important factor with potential influence on job activities.

“…By applying the ASSIST, we identified the risk groups that may require intervention measures, we found that approximately 50% of the servers that used illicit psychoactive substances needed a brief intervention, which reinforces the necessity of a periodic investigation and more detailed analysis on the use of psychoactive substances in this population.
