Supramolecular cobalt(II) complexes: syntheses, crystal structures and solvent effects

Abstract: Two Co II complexes, namely {[CoL(MeOH)-(l-OAc)] 2 Co}Á2MeCNÁ2MeOH (1) and {[CoL(EtOH)(l-OAc)] 2 -Co}Á3EtOH (2) (H 2 L=3,3 0 -dimethoxy-2,2 0 -[(1,3-propylene) dioxybis(nitrilomethylidyne)]diphenol), have been synthesized and characterized by X-ray crystallography.
