Supersulfated Cement Applied to Produce Lightweight Concrete

Abstract: The physical and mechanical characteristics of expanded-clay lightweight concrete based on a supersulfated binder in comparison with lightweight concrete based on ordinary Portland cement were studied. In replacing CEM 32.5 with a supersulfated binder of 6000 cm2/g specific surface, one can increase the tensile strength in bending up to 20% and can increase the ratio of the tensile strength in bending to the compressive strength that indicates the crack resistance increase of concrete. Compressive strengths at… Show more

“…In particular, the ion flotation method is commercially used for the removal of non-ferrous, rare-earth, and radioactive metal cations from industrial and residential wastewaters [11]. In addition, when using different types of flocculants and coagulants, The work objective is an experimental and thermodynamic study of the possibility of selective REE removal (by the example of Sm +3 ) by adsorptive bubble methods.…”

“…A special feature of Russian raw material sources is the low REE content and complex chemical and mineralogical composition. The processing of such raw materials is unprofitable [19][20][21][22][23][24][25][26][27]. Furthermore, ore mined at the Kola peninsula (a fairly developed Arctic region in Russia) is used for production of up to 25 concentrates that are different in terms of their composition and properties [28].…”
