“…Combined with the UV–vis, FT-IR, and EPR spectroscopic results as well as the NH 3 coordinated mode with Co(II), it is concluded that the NH 3 uptake of PVIm-Rn-Co is virtually through coordination of Co(II) to Co(NH 3 ) 6 2+ . , The sites of PILs for NH 3 uptake tested through temperature-programmed desorption (TPD) measurements in Figure b showed two peaks for the release of NH 3 . The first peak at about 60 °C belonged to the release of NH 3 with weak interactions such as hydrogen-bonding interactions, ,, while the chemical-interacted NH 3 was released before a temperature of 150 °C. The IR spectra of the recovered samples after the TPD test in Figure a is same as their fresh state, that the SCN – re-coordinates with Co(II), which means the SCN – competes with NH 3 to coordinate with Co(II) and promotes the excellent regeneration and recyclability performance of PVIm-Rn-Co.…”

“…NH 3 adsorption performance of PILs were measured by the weighing method as described in our previous work. 51 The effect of NH 3 partial pressure for adsorption was investigated by altering the composition of NH 3 and N 2 . The NH 3 desorption from the PILs was carried out under vacuum at 80 °C until the weight was maintained constant.…”
