Jarvis and apperley measured 13 C CP/MAS NMR spectra of solid pectin acid, sodium pectate and the acid form of pectin, and they reported that the carboxyl resonance was at 171.6 ppm for the protonated and esteried forms and 176 ppm for the ionized form.…”
