“…It is of course well known that ordinary warts may be charmed away in some cases, but what is not always realized is that plantar warts may behave in exactly the same way. Thus, in a series of patients whose plantar warts were treated with injections of sulpharsphenamine and bismuth, the cure rate among the controls, who received only distilled water or saline, was over 50 per cent (Goodman and Greenwood, 1934; Allington, 1934). It is evident therefore that suggestion is potent, and in fact plantar warts have been successfully treated by hypnosis.…”
