Islamic affairs institutions play an important role in the development of Islam and the Muslim community in a country like Malaysia that has a large Muslim population. They provide a variety of services to the Muslim community, including education, financial aid, and social assistance. However, Islamic affairs institutions are often considered incompetent in managing Islamic affairs thus affecting the confidence of Muslims. Consequently, these institutions must be evaluated to identify areas of improvement and enhance their performance. Therefore, this study aims to explore pertinent indicators to measure the performance of Islamic affairs institutions in Malaysia. This study also describes performance measurement indicators that include various aspects of Islamic affairs, such as mosque management, Islamic education, and Islamic family management. To achieve the objective of the study, a qualitative approach was used through content analysis as a method to analyse the data. The findings of the study can contribute to identifying key indicators that can be utilised as a tool to evaluate the institution's performance. This study will help policy makers, managers, and researchers in improving the performance of Islamic affairs institutions.

The behavior of zakat, infaq, and alms is very important for a person to get Muslim the truehappiness that is the happiness of the world and the hereafter. Religiosity is one of the factorsthat affect the happiness of a muslim. But the happiness it brings should be accompanied by thebehavior of the zakah, infaq, and alms. This research aims to know the influence of religiosityagainst the muslim's happiness and to find out whether the behavior of the zakat, infak and almsto moderate the relationship between religiosity with muslim‘s happiness.This research includedin this type of research quantitative research design with causality and using paradigms ofpositivistic method. The population in this research is muzakki and sampling using a purposivesampling that is as much as 100 respondents muzakki in LAZ Dompet Dhuafa Yogyakarta. Dataanalysis using regression analysis techniques Weight Least Squares.The results of this researchshow that religiosity effect significantly to the muslim's happiness. The behavior of the zakat,infaq, and alms was able to moderate positive relationship of religiosity with happiness muslim.

Operation of the Bayt al-Mal in Saki: Implications for Poverty Allevation in Nigeria

Different researches have brought to the fore a number of remarkable contributions of the bayt Al-Mal as a fiscal policy in the redistribution of wealth. In Nigeria, a few studies have been undertaken to evaluate the evolution and state of the Bayt Al-Mal. None of the studies however have undertaken an analysis of the operation and impact of the Bayt Al-Mal in the town of Saki as a mechanism for the redistribution of wealth. Therefore, this paper examines the activities and impact of Saki’s Bayt Al-Mal in meeting some of the growing needs of Muslims, including in the areas of poverty alleviation, education and health. The study reveals that Saki’s Bayt Al-Mal has recorded tremendous achievements in meeting some of the growing needs of Muslims and non-Muslims in the areas of health and education through the establishment of a Muslim School of Basic Midwifery, Muslim Medical Foundation, Muslim Hospital, and Muslim Primary and High Schools. The paper concludes that a sound Bayt Al-Mal is a necessary pre-condition for the pursuit of effective poverty alleviation measures. The paper recommends that Zakat should be one of its main sources of funding.
