Substantiation of analytical dependences for hydraulic calculation of high-viscosity oil transportation

Abstract: One of the development priorities in oil and gas industry is to maintain gas and oil pipeline networks and develop pipeline-connected gas and oil fields of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation, a promising region the resource potential of which will not only meet a significant portion of internal and external demand for various types of raw materials and primary energy carriers, but will also bring great economic benefits to subsoil users and the state. The mineral and raw material centers of the Nadym-Pu… Show more

“…In other studies, conducted by Lanzano, Erickson, and Nikolaev, the authors analyzed the pipeline infrastructures, presented their calculation methods under various operating conditions, and substantiated the dependences of the hydraulic calculation of oil pipelines transporting high-viscosity oils with complex rheological properties 2 4 . Moreover, Chizhevskaya et al presented a system of managerial decisions based on the analysis of the work of dispatchers at oil and gas transport facilities.…”

“…Nikolaev and Zaripova (26) qualitatively considered the issue of increasing the efficiency of screw pump installations in complicated operating conditions, conducted bench studies of the pressure characteristics of the screw pump taking into account the modeling of the screw pump operation on gas-liquid mixtures. The author points out that UEWP have significant limitations on the developing torque of the submersible motor and, therefore, operates with a gap or a small tension in the pair "rotor -stator", which predetermines the need to increase the rotor speed in accordance with the operating conditions of the system: "reservoir -well -pumphoist", pressure-flow characteristics in this case correspond to the characteristics of dynamic pumps.…”

“…The diaphragm pressure drop is determined by: It is assumed that the greatest pressure losses occur when the drilling mud passes through the diaphragm; in the course of the calculation, they are taken as the pressure drop of the device. The pressure drop across the diaphragm is calculated by the classical method [35]:…”
