The proposed research work is an effort to provide accurate movie recommendations to a group of users with the help of a rule-based content-based group recommender system. The whole approach is categorized into 2 phases. In phase 1, a rule- based approach has been proposed which considers the users’ viewing history to provide the Rule Base for every individual user. In phase 2, a novel group recommendation system has been proposed which considers the ratings of the movies as per the rule base generated in phase 1. Phase 2 also considers the weightage of every individual member of the group to provide the accurate movie recommendation to that particular group of users. The results of experimental setup also establish the fact that the proposed system provides more accurate outcomes in terms of precision and recall over other rule learning algorithms such as C4.5.

This article provides an overview of project management aspects of a data warehouse application implementation. More specifically, the article discusses the project's implementation, challenges faced, and lessons learned. The project was initiated with an objective to redesign the procurement data pipeline of a data warehouse. The data flows from enterprise resource planning (ERP) system to enterprise data warehouse (EDW) to reporting environments. This project was challenged to deliver more quickly to the consumers with improved report performance, and reduced total cost of ownership (TCO) in EDW and data latency. Strategies of this project include providing continuous business value, and adopt new technologies in data extraction, transformation and loading. The project's strategy was also to implement it using some of the agile principles. The project team accomplished twice the scope of previous project in the same duration with a relatively smaller team. It also achieved improved quality of the products, and increased customer satisfaction by improving the reports' response time for management.

Fuzzy role-based access control (FRBAC) is essential for risk-based environments in many futuristic applications, even though role-based access control (RBAC) is the efficient and widely used access control model for enterprise applications. In FRBAC, authorization related information is vague. It brings the fuzziness in mapping among the components of FRBAC such as user, role and permission. Holding the fuzziness in FRBAC, it is challenging for the security engineer to verify the constraints and correctness of access control policy. On verifying the constraints and correctness of access control policy, knowledge representation techniques are much useful in practice. In this scenario, representing FRBAC using fuzzy ontology might be the right choice for semantic web application. The main objective of this article is to represent the access permissions of FRBAC using fuzzy ontology and verify whether the constraints of FRBAC are possible to get implemented in it or not.
