Tulisan ini membahas penyearah gelombang penuh untuk mengurangi output ripple gelombang DC. Beberapa variasi filter telah diterapkan, namun output filter menghasilkan output gelombang ripple. Oleh sebab itu, variasi IC 7812, 7815, 7818 dan 7824 diusulkan untuk mengurangi output gelombang ripple. Rangkaian penyearah gelombang penuh dirancang untuk mengatur tegangan output dioda, arus output, vrms dan putaran motor dc. Hasil penerapan IC menunjukkan bahwa output ripple dapat diturunkan berdasarkan pengaturan variasi tegangan pada masing-masing IC. Semakin besar variasi tegangan output IC, maka output tegangan, arus, vrms, dan putaran motor semakin meningkat. Sedangkan output ripple menunjukkan variasi nilai 0.252, 0.023, 0.025 dan 0.023. Tegangan input tidak mempengaruhi pada rangkaian penyearah gelombang penuh walaupun tegangan output dioda, arus, rpm, vrms dan output ripple bervariasi.

In isolated areas such as islands with small power grids, the BESS (Battery energy storage system) can supply the standard voltage and frequency to the power system to achieve 100% of renewable sharing. In addition, the installation of additional BESS may be required in the microgrid due to technical limitations such as redundant operation and manufacturer specifications. Thus, the BESSs in a microgrid can be split into main and sub BESSs which play a role as the main source and auxiliary services, respectively. Generally, the ratio of unbalance current in microgrid system tends to be high, because of inherently unbalanced single phase load distribution. However, because the capacity of BESS is calculated under balanced conditions, the PCS (Power conversion system) of BESS may stop protecting its switching device from a single phase overcurrent in actual operation. From this perspective, this paper proposes that the sub BESSs perform dual current control to supply the unbalanced current instead of the main BESS. In the simulation result of the proposed method, the current unbalance rate of the main ESS has been reduced by about 26%. Through the proposed control scheme, it is possible to prevent an unexpected single phase overload of the main BESS in the microgrid.

This paper details a voltage control strategy based on Generalized Predictive Control (GPC) applied to a singlephase T-type neutral point clamped voltage source inverter in stand-alone operation mode. A performance comparison between the GPC and a Proportional-Integral (PI) controller is presented to highlight the improved performance of GPC under different load scenarios. The main results show that the GPC can achieve longer prediction horizons than other controllers based on model predictive control. Furthermore, in contrast to the PI controller, the GPC responds to load changes as disturbances. Finally, GPC can operate efficiently without an online optimization method nor recursive system identification method.
