“…Calcium phosphate nanoclusters are formed by sequestration of amorphous Ca within a shell of casein and are generally known as the micellar Ca phosphate (Smith et al, 2004). Nevertheless, studies on the partition of salts in milk have shown that about one-third of the Ca, half of the Pi, two-thirds of the Mg, and ninetenths of the citrate in bovine milk are diffusible through a semipermeable membrane or can be separated by ultrafiltration (Silva et al, 2001).
