Study of the high pressure effect on nanoparticles GdVO4: Eu3+optical properties

Abstract: This study considers the effects of hydrostatic pressure on the line position and fluorescence lifetime τ for 5 D 0 → 7 F 2 transitions in GdVO 4 : Eu 3+ nanocrystals. The results indicate that the pressure induced the red shift toward longer wavelengths for all the considered lines with different rate. The fluorescence lifetime τ nonlinearly decreases with pressure in the considered pressure range. High pressure induced the fluorescence lifetime τ that can be explained with a simple theoretical model. The mea… Show more

“…In consideration the variation on the refractive index np n for nanoparticle with pressure we have takes in account molecular volume and electronic polarizability for individual ions for nanoparticles as in literature data [6]. The refractive pressure dependence, in our case LuVO 4 :Eu 3+ nanoparticle, np n can be express with relation from our previous papers with successful ware applied on several nanomaterials exposed to the high pressure [6,13,14,25,35].In agreement mentioned above nanoparticles LuVO 4 :Eu , respectively. There is no single opinion on the affect of high pressure on refractive index.…”

“…Pressure dependence for a line position at bout 619 nm in LuVO 4 : Eu 3+ nanoparticles we have described using the Equation (22) from literature data [24] which obtained good agreement between experimental and theoretical predicted values for RE doped nanoparitcle [6,13,25]. The procedure was described in details in literature data [6,13].…”
