Study of Stability Constants of Fe (Iii) And Mn (Ii) With Chloramphenicol by Paper Electrophoretic Technique

Abstract: Stabilty constant of binary complexes of Fe(III) and Mn(II) with medicinally important ligand chloramphenicol antibiotics in solution were determined by paper electrophoretic technique. Stability constant of the complexes were determined at 25°C temperature and 0.1M (HClO 4 ) ionic strength. Our study is based upon the migration of a spot of metal ions on a paper strip at different pH against mobility gives information about the binary complexes and permits to calculate their stability constant.
