Study of Pb(Zr0.65Ti0.35)O3(PZT(65/35) doping on structural, dielectric and conductivity properties of BaTiO3(BT) ceramics

Abstract: 1−x)BaTiO 3 -xPZT(65/35) ceramics were prepared by high temperature solid state reaction technique. Structural properties of the compounds were examined using an X-ray diffraction (XRD) technique to confirm the formation of phase at room temperature. Detailed studies of dielectric properties of (1−x) BaTiO 3 -xPZT(65/35) for all compositions were in temperature range 30-200 o C reveal that the compound have transition temperature well above at the room temperature. While pure BaTiO 3 ceramics exhibited a sharp… Show more

“…In the present case, Sb 2 O 3 -doping has been shown to produce a linear reduction in T C . In Figure 8, it is clear that the ε 33 T (max) sharply decreases as the content of Sb 2 O 3 increases and the dielectric peaks broaden around T C , which is similar to previous observations [13,37]. Similarly, Dutta et al also explained that the broadening of the dielectric peak and variation of ε 33 T (max) could be attributed to the variation of grain size and some kinds of structural disorder [20].…”

“…It is evident that the value of K 33 T ( max ) sharply decreases as the content of BY increases to 0.02 mol, and the dielectric peak broadened rather than sharpening around T C , which is one of the characteristics of disordered perovskite structure with diffuse phase transition. This broadening is believed to be due to the compositional fluctuation [31] leading to a microscopic heterogeneity in composition, and thus, to a distribution of different local T C , caused by the appearance of a second phase [BY]. It is well known that cubic phase addition to PZT reduces T C , but in the PZT system with BY added, T C increased.…”

“…Among those materials barium titanate (BaTiO 3 ) which belongs to a perovskite structure ABO 3 type [1][2][3][4]. The dielectric constant of these materials is highly unstable, vary with temperature and it is not suitable for using at high temperature.…”
