The ability to read the Al Quran and understanding the tajwid are two things that cannot be separated. Good reading skills without understanding the knowledge of tajwid will make the reading misleading. This study aims to determine the ability to read AlQuran, the ability to understand tajwid, and the correlation between these two variables in Sriwijaya University students. This research data was taken from 100 new Sriwijaya University students in 2019 and analyzed using statistical methods. The results of this study indicate that the majority of Sriwijaya University new students (42%) have reading skills in the range of 64-71 values and the majority of mastery of tajwid (36%) in the range of values 56-63. The results of this study also indicate that there was a significant correlation between the mastery of tajwid and the ability to read AlQuran with a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.98.

In 2018-2021, several natural phenomena occurred that caused climate change in Indonesia. This climate change is estimated to have affected the dynamics of rainfall and temperature in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the incidence of climate change, rainfall dynamics, and temperature dynamics, and find the correlation between rainfall versus temperature during the 2018-2021 dry season. The location of this research is on peatlands in Central Kalimantan and West Kalimantan where both locations have installed automatic measurement stations for rainfall and temperature. Peatlands were chosen because the dynamics of rainfall and temperature greatly affect the condition of peatlands that are prone to fires and floods. The results of this study indicate that very minimal rainfall occurs in the dry season in 2019, especially from July to September 2019. Rainfall in the 2019 dry season is much lower when compared to the dry season in 2018, 2020, and 2021. This happens because in 2019 two natural phenomena occurred simultaneously, namely: moderate IOD+ and weak El Niño. These two phenomena reinforce each other in reducing rainfall in Indonesia. The temperature during the dry season for 4 years did not show a significant difference, but in general, the temperature in Central Kalimantan was lower than the temperature in West Kalimantan. It was also found that there was a trend in the relationship between rainfall and temperature where the higher the rainfall, the lower the temperature. Based on the results of the statistical method of linear regression and t-test, it has been found that the correlation between rainfall and temperature is significant.

Peatlands in Indonesia are highly flammable during extremely dry seasons and are prone to flooding during extreme rainy seasons. This incident is related to the dynamics of the hydro-climatological parameters of the peatland. In 2019 the IOD+ phenomenon occurred which caused extreme drought and in 2020 there was a La Niña phenomenon that caused above-average rainfall. This study aims to determine and compare the dynamics of hydro-climatological parameters in the dry season during the 2018 normal climate, when there is IOD+ 2019, and when there is La Niña 2020. The data used are the results of in situ measurements by an integrated measurement system called SESAME and the measurement data of the MODIS satellite. The results of this study show that the rainfall and groundwater level during the IOD+ phenomenon in 2019 was lower than during the normal climate in 2018, while during La Niña in 2020 it was higher than during the normal climate in 2018. This study found a relationship that rainfall affecting groundwater level, and groundwater level affecting the number of hotspots, but their correlation is not significant. It is also found that hotspots can appear when the groundwater level reaches -0.65 m in West Kalimantan and -0.81 m in Central Kalimantan.
