Although some investigators disagree (Rose et al 1960), there are suggestions in the literature that vasopressin increases thyroid function (Ogawa et al 1956, Dubreuil & Martini 1956, Bottari 1957) and may be acting on the release of TSH. In some preliminary studies, we found that acetic acid extracts of median eminence tissue increased thyroid function in the rabbit (Schindler, Harris & Garcia, unpublished observations).…”
