The rationale of the study was to find out the effect of self-evaluation learning strategy on academic performance in English language among students in public secondary schools. The study adopted a convergent mixed design which combined Solomon Four group experimental design and in-depth interviews. The study targeted 1397 form three students from 23 public secondary schools and 49 teachers of English language. The study sampled 283 form three students through stratified random sampling technique. The participants from the four groups were randomly assigned into experimental and control groups. Purposive sampling technique was used to obtain twelve (12) teachers of English. Triangulation was employed to collect data using pretest/posttest scores, Focus Group Discussion, in-depth interviews, and metacognitive learning strategy questionnaires. Multiple regression analysis findings revealed that self-evaluation learning strategy explains 6.4 per cent (R 2 =.064) of the variance in academic performance in English language. The study found a statistically significant difference on self-evaluation learning strategy on academic performance in English language among students in public secondary schools. The study concluded that there exists a positively statistically significant effect of self-evaluation learning strategy on academic performance in English language. Therefore, the study recommended that self-evaluation learning strategies should be utilized and integrated by students in the learning process in order to foster their ability to learn and enhance the overall academic performance in English language.

Amaç: Bu sistematik derlemede, hemşirelik eğitiminde Bağlam, Girdi, Süreç ve Ürün Değerlendirme (CIPP) modelinin kullanım alanlarını ve kullanıldığı çalışmaların özelliklerini ortaya koymak amaçlanmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışma, Web of Science, Google Scholar, Science Direct, PubMed, Medline veri tabanlarında 1991-2021 yılları arasında yayınlanan “nursing education ve CIPP” anahtar kelimeleri ile ulusal ve uluslararası çalışmalar taranarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Tarama sonucunda 433 veriye ulaşılmıştır. Çalışmada, toplam 9 araştırma değerlendirmeye alınmıştır. Bulgular: Hemşirelik alanında önlisans, lisans ve doktora programlarını değerlendirme sürecinde Bağlam, Girdi, Süreç ve Ürün Değerlendirme Modelinin kullanıldığı görülmektedir. Program geliştirme çalışmalarına ek olarak, iyileştirme ve değerlendirme çalışmalarında da modelin kullanıldığı saptanmıştır. İncelenen çalışmalarda, dört basamağın tamamından yararlanılabileceği gibi; model programın bir veya bazı bölümlerini değerlendirme imkânı da sağlanmaktadır. Sonuç: Bağlam, Girdi, Süreç ve Ürün Değerlendirme Modeli, hemşirelik eğitim programlarının uygulanması sırasında bütünsel bir yaklaşımla, nicel ve nitel verilerden yararlanılarak kullanılması uygundur. Bununla birlikte, sınırlı sayıda araştırma olması bu çalışmanın bulgularını doğrulamak için daha ileri çalışmalara ihtiyaç olduğunu göstermektedir.

DIVAYANA formula for determining priority ranking the recommendations in evaluation applications

Determination of appropriate recommendations through an evaluation application greatly affects the quality of decisions resulting from evaluation activities. Therefore it is necessary to do an accurate calculation process in determining recommendations in the evaluation applications. The purpose of this study was to introduce one of the innovations in the form of the DIVAYANA formula, which can be used to determine priority recommendations in evaluation applications. The method was used in this research was quantitative by showing the results of calculations used the DIVAYANA formula. There were six experts involved in conducting the effectiveness test on the DIVAYANA formula. The testing tool used the questionnaires for a formula effectiveness test consisting of 10 questions. The analysis was done by interpreting the testing results of formula effectiveness with effectiveness standards. The test results showed that the DIVAYANA formula was very effective used to determine priority recommendations in evaluation applications with effectiveness score was 90.33%.
