Structure cristalline du dihydrogéno-pyrophosphate dipotassique hémihydraté K2H2P2O7.H2O

Abstract: The crystal structure of K2H2P207.½H20 has been determined from diffractometer data obtained using Mo Ka radiation. The space group is C2/c and a unit cell contains eight formula units. The structure was solved by direct methods. A final R value of 0.036 was obtained using 1970 independent reflexions. The dihydrogenpyrophosphate anion H2P20 2-has a bent P-O-P bond with a bond angle of 129"3 ° and the mean P-O (bridge) distance is 1.619 ,~. The mean value of the terminal P-O distance is 1-493/~, while the term… Show more

“…In contrast, the exact end of the dehydration cannot be determined for measurements under a vacuum, since the most intense reflections of KH 2 AsO 4 overlap with reflection of δ-KAsO 3 or γ-KAsO 3 . In contrast to for example CsH 2 PO 4 , which dehydrates via a Cs 2 H 2 P 2 O 7 (=̂CsPO 3 •(1/2)H 2 O) 27 intermediate, we could not identify any crystalline intermediate hydrous phase: To our knowledge no structural data of KAsO 3 •nH 2 O phases with 0 < n < 1 have been reported up to now, and attempts to relate the peaks that we did not attribute to γ-KAsO 3 to the diffraction patterns of the hydrous phosphate phases K 2 H 4 P 2 O 7 28 and 29 were unsuccessful. Thermogravimetric analysis confirms the lack of intermediate phases: Even with low heating rates of 1 K/min, we did not observe any steps in the dehydration curve (Figure 4).…”
