Magnetic properties D 9000Structure and Magnetic Properties of TbFe11-xMnxTi Compounds. -TbFe 11-x Mn x Ti samples with x = 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, 4.0, and 5.0 are prepared by arc melting of the elements followed by annealing at 1123 K (50 h). All the compounds crystallize in the ThMn12-type structure (powder XRD). The unit-cell volume increases monotonically with increasing Mn concentration. A compensation temperature occurs in the magnetization-temperature curves of TbFe7Mn4Ti and TbFe6Mn5Ti. With increasing Mn concentration, the saturation magnetization at 4.4 K decreases to zero, and then increases again. The magnetic moment of the transition metal sublattice of the compounds decreases monotonically with increasing Mn content. -(YANG*, S.-Q.; ZHANG, C.-L.; LIN, P.-H.; LI, L.-X.; J.
