Structural, thermal, optical and conductive properties of PAM/PVA polymer composite doped with Ag nanoparticles for electrochemical application

Abstract: In the present study, the chemical preparation of silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) solution was achieved by decreasing silver salt via the use of sodium borohydride (NaBH 4). The particles appeared to have a crystalline nature through the XRD study, with a face-centered cubic (FCC) structure. The formation of silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) was asserted by the UV, XRD and TEM. An absorption peak at around 430 nm was demonstrated through UV-visible spectrum of the aqueous medium which related to of Ag NPs. The solut… Show more

“…CH 2 rocking, C═O stretching, and CH 2 antisymmetric stretching of the PVA‐PVP blend have been attributed to the bands at 852, 1736, and 2942 cm −1. 24 The C‐H rocking, CH bending owing to alkane/alkene, and C═O stretching of PVP were related to the detected absorption bands at 840, 1272, 1426, 1659, and 3524 cm −1 , respectively. The peak of PVA is assigned to the C═O stretching vibration of the acetate group at 1736 cm −1 , and this is regarded as the residual portion of PVA 25 .…”

“…Up to date, several potentially materials, such as carbon materials, ceramics, and metal are commonly considered ideal candidates used for highly thermally conductive composite due to their thermal conductivity. Metal fillers, such as Al, [11] Cu, [12] Ag, [13] and so on are often used in fields without the need of electrical insulation due to brilliant electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity. Wang et al prepared well dispersed single crystal copper nanowires (CuNW) with large aspect ratio using as fillers in acrylate matrix.…”

“…This polarization near the electrodes is consistent with the system's non-Debye type nature. 40 Invariance may perform as the materials' energy barrier because of the applied electric field. At low frequencies, the highest dielectric constant is given by the ions hopping in the applied field's energy barrier.…”
