Pour pouvoir mieux repondre aux besoins pedagogiques il faut l'elargir par des principes d'une phonetique du texte. La phonologie traditionnelle dont Tobjet prefere reste le segment isole domine nettement les methodes et la pratique de la phonetique corrective. Cette domination ä peu pres totale ne peut etre justif iee d'un point de vue didactique, et pourrait meme y voir une raison principale pour l'echec de l'enseignement de la parole. Elle explique, entre autres choses, cette structuration stereotypee des programmes de prononciation pour les laboratoires de langues. Plusieurs concepts de la phonologie se sont montres inadequats pour l'enseignement: nous discutons ä titre d'exemple la distinctivite phonologique, le parametre phonologique et l'orientation metalinguistique du materiel de travail. Comme consequence didactique, nous proposons de partir d'une phonetique du texte dont les elements particuliers doivent encore etre precises par des recherches empiriques.The specific problems involved in teaching pronunciation cannot be solved by the techniques of phonemic analysis alone. What is needed is an extension of these techniques to include the principles of textual phonetics. Hitherto segmental phonology has clearly dominated the methods and practice of pronunciation training. One of the main reasons for the failure of phonetic correction must be presumed to lie in this total, but didactically unjustified, dependence. This explains among other things the stereotyped arrangement of current pronunciation programs for the language laboratory. The inadequacy of a set of phonemic concepts for pronunciation training is obvious: phonemic distinctiveness, the phonemic parameter and the metalinguistic orientation of the linguistic practice material are taken äs examples. The consequence of this, didactically, is the need for a text-phonetics, the language specific elements of which will still have to be worked out empirically.Zu den Fertigkeiten, die im Fremdsprachenunterricht ganz konsequent ausgebildet und stetig gefördert werden (sollten), gehört ohne jeden Zweifel die lautsprachliche Kodierung. Obwohl die linguistische Grundlegung der phonetischen Korrektur geleistet und auch ihre Didaktik gemeistert zu sein scheinen, muß die Beobachtung verwirren, daß der Schulungserfolg im Lernbereich Aussprache eher gering zu veranschlagen ist. Selbst der Einsatz modernster Schultechnologie, wie sie etwa ein Sprachlabor bietet, hat das Ausbildungsniveau nicht merklich zum Besseren hin verändert. Viele Gründe dürften dafür maßgebend sein.Die Fragestellung der korrektiven Phonetik und ihre spezifische Arbeitsweise hat Malmberg (1970) ausführlich dargestellt.
