“…This result revealed that the amorphous structure of SiO 2 has been transformed into crystalline one after the sulfation process. Similar phenomena were observed when the Ni was impregnated on ZrO 2 /SiO 2 system [28]. The peak that appeared at 2 θ value of 72.4° is corresponding to ZrO 2 (JCPDS No.…”

“…With the incorporation of SO 4 2− on the 20% ZrO 2 /SCBFA catalyst, the monoclinic phase of ZrO 2 (2 θ = 28.3°) completely disappeared, and new seven peaks appeared at 2 θ values of 20.7°, 26.5°, 36.3°, 50.1°, 59.2°, 68.1°, and 72.4°. The first six peaks are attributed to (100), (011), (110), (112), (121), and (031) planes of trigonal structure of α‐SiO 2 , respectively [28]. This result revealed that the amorphous structure of SiO 2 has been transformed into crystalline one after the sulfation process.…”
