“…Previous studies of bicrystal junction of cuprate superconductors [26,27] showed that the microstructure of the boundary of the junction of two tilted planes around the bicrystal boundary (Tilted Bicrystal Junction -TB-junction) can significantly improve as compared to RB-junction. This type of bicrystal boundaries has a low density of dislocations in the boundary plane and has a better morphology of the boundary [26].…”

“…This type of bicrystal boundaries has a low density of dislocations in the boundary plane and has a better morphology of the boundary [26]. The first experiments carried out on L 0,67 Ca 0,3 MnO 3 (LCMO) TB-junction, showed high values of TMR (150%) with a rather large value of resistance of bicrystal boundaries (3 -5 10 -5 ohm cm 2 ) [27,28].…”

“…The epitaxial growth of YBa 2 Cu 3 O 7 ͑YBCO͒ thin films on SrTiO 3 ͑STO͒ bicrystalline substrates has become a widely used technique for the fabrication of superconducting grain boundary Josephson junctions ͑GBJJs͒. The pioneering studies published in the literature on GBJJs were mainly based on the properties of ͓001͔ tilt bicrystalline substrates.…”

“…1 However, research on YBCO GBJJs fabricated on other bicrystal geometries are coming up in recent years. For instance, detailed comparative studies of ͓100͔ tilt boundary junctions fabricated on "valley" type bicrystalline substrates and conventional junctions fabricated on ͓001͔ tilt bicrystals have been presented by Poppe et al 2,3 In these reports the ͓100͔ tilt boundary junctions show interesting properties for device applications: a high critical currentϫ normal resistance product of the barrier ͑I C R N ͒ and a low degree of faceting in comparison to ͓001͔ tilt boundaries. In this same line, it would be very interesting to investigate the properties of GBJJs fabricated on substrates tilted around both ͓100͔ and ͓001͔ axis.…”

“…For ͓001͔-tilt high-T c grain boundary ͑GB͒ bicrystal junctions, the typical characteristic frequencies f c exceeded 100 GHz at 77 K. 5 Moreover, ͓100͔-tilt YBa 2 Cu 3 O 7−x GB junctions with f c up to 0.5 THz at T = 77 K were explored. 6 Recently we suggested and successfully realized the method of irradiating arrays of high-T c Josephson junctions by coupling to the resonant modes of a millimeter wave FabryPérot ͑FP͒ resonator. 7 In this letter we describe the mechanism of interaction of Josephson junctions with the millimeter wave electromagnetic field induced in the FP resonator.…”
