Abstract:High mortality herpes simplex virus encephalitis (HSVE) presents with fever, headache, changes in personality, focal neurologic findings, and epileptic attacks. It causes common destruction in brain parenchyma with necrotic, inflammatory and hemorrhagic lesions, and neuron losses.
