Strategic Capacity Planning in KIOs: A Classification Scheme

Abstract: (English) This paper introduces the Strategic Capacity Planning problem in knowledge intensive organizations (KIOs) and proposes a classification scheme based on different characteristics such as the organization structure, the workforce characteristics, the capacity requirements, the capacity decisions or the evaluation criteria, among others.
