Abstract:Energy transfer between the 62D3/2 and 62D5/2 energy levels of thallium, induced by Tl-H2 and Tl-N2 collisions have been investigated. The following cross sections for energy transfer Q(62D3/2 → 62D5/2) and quenching Q(62D3/2) have been determined:
Tl-H2: Q(62D3/2 → 62D5/2) = 87 · 10-16 cm2; Q(62D5/2) = 43 · 10-16 cm2;
Tl-N2: Q(62D3/2 → 62D5/2) = 71 · 10-16 cm2; Q(62D5/2) = 94 · 10-16 cm2.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
