Storage of Wind Power Energy

Abstract: There has been a big increase in production and investments in wind turbines and wind farms in last 20 years. New generation of wind turbines is more reliable than from 1980’s are, which necessary condition is energy production is to play an important role among renewable energy sources. Over the last 30 years, the size of wind turbines increased 7 times, as nominal power increased nearly 14 times. At present, turbines capable of producing over 10 MW of power are being developed. The main reason for continued … Show more

“…Переважаючим напрямком в електроенергетиці останнім часом стало застосування розподіленої генерації (РГ). В її основі лежить застосування альтернативних засобів генерації електричної енергії (ЕЕ) [2,3], які реалізуються за рахунок застосування сонячних електричних станцій [4,5] і вітроенергетичних установок [6,7]. Одним з лідерів даної технології в Європі є Німеччина, РГ котрої досягає 50 % [2].…”

“…due to the negative effects of fossil fuels on the environment, the difference between supply and demand is increasing. The energy produced from renewable energy sources (RES) such as solar energy produced by solar panels using the rays from the sun [1], wind energy produced by wind turbines [2], hydroelectric energy produced by the movement of water in water resources such as lakes, streams, and rivers [3], organic energy produced naturally by geothermal energy produced using underground heat sources and distributed through heat pumps [4], and biomass produced by converting materials (such as wood, straw, and vegetable waste) into energy [5] is used both in houses and in industry, allowing the energy demand to be met with the country's resources. Renewable power plants can include more than one source as hybrid systems.…”

“…There are significant environmental benefits obtained from using a renewable energy device attributed to preventing the release of greenhouse gases associated with fossil fuels [5]. Currently, wind energy is the second most important source of renewable energy after water energy [6]. International concerns generated by world governing bodies against global warming necessitated a shift in research to power generation from renewable energy sources [7] which wind power via wind turbine is a major contender.…”
