“…The study on molecular weight distribution of organic matter in water has been very little in our country, existing researches mainly concern source water: Jin Han studied the molecular weight distribution properties of Dong River source water [3]; research results of Li Hong Zhou showed that mutagen in Ames test was mainly caused by organics with small molecular weight [4]; the research of Chang indicated that CHCl 3 and CH 2 Cl 2 in disinfection by-product(DBPS) were primarily produced by organics with molecular weight in 0.5~10kDa but CHClBr 2 and CHBr 3 which had much higher toxicity were mainly produced by organics with molecular weight less than 0.5kDa [5]; report on molecular weight distribution of organic matter in secondary effluent of municipal wastewater also can be found [6]; little work has been conducted on molecular weight distribution of petrochemical wastewater and study on molecular weight distribution of effluent of petrochemical wastewater treatment plant can be seen occasionally but no reports about the molecular weight distribution of each treatment unit in industrial wastewater treatment plant particularly petrochemical wastewater.…”
