“…Chromophores that have innately large Stokes shifts have been proposed to circumvent the reabsorption. 7,8 However, further increasing the Stokes shift by introducing electron donating/withdrawing substituents to the chromophore often leads to a compromise with quantum yields. 8 A large Stokes shift can also be achieved using a Förster resonance energy transfer (FRET) donoracceptor pair.…”

“…Hence, emission spectrum of compound 9 d was recorded in 10 −8 M solution, whereas other molecules were recorded at 10 −6 M. For TAA derivatives 9 c and 9 d , very broad emissions are observed at 563 and 511 nm, respectively. The large Stokes shifts are ascribed due to the twisting nature and large dipole moment of the triphenylamine in excited state . The small hump is observed in the emission spectra of compounds 9 c and 9 d .…”

“…In addition to quinacridones, the latent pigment form of which has already been described and exploited in the context of plastic electronics,9 we were also interested in perylenediimides, benchmark compounds in the LSC field 3b. The exploitation of perylenediimide ( PDI‐H ) in the latent pigment approach is unknown.…”
