Stability of Concentrated Hydrogen Peroxide Solutions

Abstract: Stability characteristics of concentrated hydrogen peroxide solutions have been studied at 50°to 100°C. over the range 70 to 90 weight % hydrogen peroxide, in both the absence and presence of stabilizers; 50°C. proved satisfactory for the gas evolution method used to determine rate of decomposition of peroxide samples. Previous reports of high stability for very pure hydrogen peroxide at concentrations of 85 to 90% were confirmed.
