Such a critique is problematized by the fashion in which Jung's conception of the psyche challenges assumptions concerning the limits of the subjective (see Brown 2018). If speaking in terms of 'experience' is liable to reinforce the idea that spiritual phenomena are restricted (in a reductive fashion) to the realm of individuals, speaking in terms of participatory 'events' is perhaps equally liable to give the impression that the subject is merely acted upon from without.…”
