“…Studies using the alkaline comet assay have reported associations between DNA fragmentation and % fertilization, embryo quality, implantation rate, clinical pregnancy and live birth [32][33]. In contrast, a smaller number of small studies with the neutral Comet assay have reported inconsistent associations between DNA integrity and ART outcomes [17,21,22,34].
