“…12,13 Interestingly, in a study stratifying men with idiopathic and nonidiopathic NOA, rates of SCO (both pure SCO and/or any component of SCO) were slightly higher in the idiopathic group (almost 60%) in comparison to the nonidiopathic group (up to 50%). 14 Furthermore, the SRR in our series was 42%, which is slightly lower than some other reports in NOA men. 3,12 This is likely secondary to exclusion of approximately 35% of patients without appropriate pathological data and from referral of complex patients to treat with prior failed sperm retrieval attempts, since our center is a quaternary referral center.…”

“…Meanwhile, human testis is also the priority of andrologists because testicular failure is the leading cause of male infertility 4 . Therefore, scientists have delved into both normal 5 , 6 and abnormal testes 7 - 9 , and detected mechanisms behind them especially those related to male infertility 10 , 11 . Although numerous approaches have been used to learn about human testis including cell experiments 12 , animal experiments 13 or even new methods like testicular organoid 14 , most of the above-mentioned methodologies are indirect.…”

“…This information has been demonstrated to provide a significant prognostic value for the sperm retrieval rate in microTESE procedures in previous studies. [5][6][7] Therefore, we conduct this study to describe the testicular histopathology of NOA men and assess factors associated with each histopathological pattern.…”
