Speed control of a DC drive based on optimal performance

Abstract: A simple robust preview control system theory is synthesized. It proceeding to a very few future values of desired and disturbance signals which are needed for improving robustness and control system performance. The dynamic equation of a separately excited dc motor is introduced to be the basis of a constant field current system. Simulation results have been taken, to investigate the effectiveness of the above technique. Experimental results have been taken to prove the effectiveness of the proposed controlle… Show more

“…Several control applications have been done utilizing modern control techniques. Some of them utilize variable structure control (VSC) [1,5,7], optimal control [2,4,12,13], optimal PID control [6,9], adaptive control [10,11], etc. The drawback of using the VSC is mainly due to the concern of excessive chattering.…”
