Spectrophotometric Micro determination of Silver(I) using Meloxicam as a New Analytical Reagent

Abstract: A new chromogenic reagent, meloxicam was used for highly sensitive, selective and rapid method for the determination of silver based on the rapid reaction of silver(I) with meloxicam. In the presence acetate buffer solution of pH 4.6 and Triton X-100 as an optimum medium, meloxicam reacts with silver to form a yellow complex of molar ratio 1:1 (silver to meloxicam).
