The adsorption of doxycycline hyclate on the low-cost adsorbent cobalt oxide was carried out, in a thermostated shaker at three different temperatures (40 °C, 50 °C and 60 °C), and studied other parameters were effected on the adsorption process including initial concentration, a weight of cobalt oxide and effect of pH. The high value of coefficient of determination of 0.985 and low value for Chi-square test of 0.346 for Langmuir linear equation at the temperature of 40 °C are referred to a good accuracy and agreement for the method. Also it was observed that the Freundlich linear equation showed the high value of coefficient of determination of 0.914 and low value of Chi-square test of 0.679 at the same temperature, and it can be realized that the Freundlich linear isotherm provided better agreement with the Langmuir linear isotherm at the temperature of 40 °C. Moreover, the negative values of the Gibbs free energy and the positive value of the enthalpy indicated spontaneity and exothermic nature of the adsorption process.
Metal oxides are widely used in adsorption technology as adsorbent surfaces because of their efficiency, low cost and unique physical properties. The aim of this review to clarify the role of aluminium oxide and Nano aluminium oxide in removing some chemicals contain that influence on human health such as dyes, antibiotics, and heavy metals. This paper also includes the affective of some adsorption parameters like pH, contact time, removal percentageand temperature. The Adsorption nature, kinetic adsorption models and isotherm models are also reported here.
Background:
Simple, sensitive, and economic colorimetric device based on a smartphone digital image coupled with Color Grab™ application was developed for DCH drug determination. The method is based on the diazotization reaction of benzocaine with DCH drug to obtain an orange azo dye.
Method:
Variable parameters such as volumes of reagents, the internal walls and ambient light have been analyzed and optimized. From the optimized conditions, a calibration curve was created by the effective intensity (IG) of an orange azo dye, a correlation of determination is 0.999 and limit of detection 0.808 mg/L.
Result:
The results of the Smartphone method were statistically compared with the reference method using a t-test and found to be a good agreement.
Conclusion:
This method requires neither solvent extraction and temperature control, also it has achieved an extensive linear range and low limit of detection compared with different methods reported in the literature.
Two Rapid, direct, ecological friendly and economical spectrophotometric methods were used for estimation of meloxicam in the market Tablet dosage form. The First method is based on the use the fourth order derivative spectrum (D4) and the second method is depend-ed on the ratio of the area under the curve for the two peaks in the drug (Compensated area under the curve). The linear calibration graphs of the two methods were measured in the con-centration range (5-35)mg/l and the average of recoveries for local market Tablet (AWA)® were 99.8% for D4 method and 100.2% for CAUC method which indicating a good accuracy and precision for these methods. In this study, the results obtained by these suggested meth-ods have been successfully statistically compared by t-test and Mann-Whitney test showed a good agreement.
