“…Hydrazine was determined by spectrophotometrically using a Hach Lange DR2800 type spectrophotometer. Prior to the application of the Hach Lange HydraVer 2 reagent (containing p-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde), 0.5% solution of sulfamic acid was added to the sample as described by George et al (2008) in order to eliminate interference from NO x -(NO 2 -? NO 3 -).…”

“…The content of volatile fatty acids (VFA) was measured by a gas chromatograph Shimadzu GC-2014 using the Phenomenex Zebron ZB-WAXplus GUARDIAN column. Hydrazine concentration (measuring range 0-600 lg/l) was measured by Dr. Lange method (based on method described by Watt and Chrisp 1952): into 10 ml of sample 0.5 ml of paradimethylaminobenzaldehyde dissolved in ethanol (Hydraver 2 reagent) was added and NO 2 -interference was eliminated by 0.5% sulfamic acid (George et al 2008). After 12 min reaction time hydrazine concentration was measured at 458 nm.…”

“…Because of the great importance of hydrazine, its accurate and economical determination is still a challenging research in analytical chemistry. Several instrumental methods for the determination of hydrazine by flow injection analysis with fluorimetric (Ensafi and Rezaei 1998), chemiluminescence detection (Huang et al 1999), optical chemicalsensors (Gojon et al 1999), potentiometric (Ganesh et al 2011), spectrophotometric (George et al 2007), chromatography (Mori et al 2004), and capillary electrophoresis (Siangproh et al 2005) methods have been described in the literature.…”
