Abstract-Urban growth is very dynamic and complex processes, It has many factors affects on the directions and value of urban extensions, the factors that drive urban development must be identified and analyzed, The study of relative research shows that the driving forces which lead and redirect the urban sprawl, and try to classified these driving forces based on the value of its effectives on urban growth, Achieving the classification of driving forces needs using statistical method, our study used the logistic regressions to analysis and classes the driving forces for urban sprawl, Identifying the driving forces is the most important step to prediction the urban growth in future by using the cellular automata models so that the research try to prepare this step to complete the procedure to expect the urban extensions, This study takes Aswan area as a case study in period from 2001 to 2013 by analysis the official detailed plan and google earth historical imagery, Almost data prepared to logistic regressions analysis using ArcGIS software and IDRISI®Selva. We studied historical imagery of the area using Google Earth to examine changes in urban growth in 2001 and 2013, over a span of 12 years. The results showed urbanization in risk areas to be 59.79 % in 2001, then rising to 65.45 % in 2013, by the end of this paper it can be classified the effect of the driving forces in study area.

Abstract:Since its economic reform and opening-up, China has undergone unprecedented urbanization, where massive areas of rural land have been converted into urban use. Urban land development plays an important role in dynamic urban economic development. This study aims to contribute to the understanding of urban land development and its mechanisms in China. We conceptualized the mechanism of urban land development from multiple perspectives based on a case study in Jiangsu Province. We employed the methods of global and local spatial auto-correlation The results show that urban land development varies significantly across different time periods, spatial scales, and regions in Jiangsu. Higher absolute urban land development mainly occurred in Sunan, expanding to Subei and Suzhong, while faster development occurred mainly in Subei, where the initial bases were lower but had strong economic growth potential. The regression analysis shows that market activities and administrative levels had played a more critical role in driving urban land development, which suggests that rapid urban land development has institutional and market foundations. Urban land development was not only a consequence of economic development but also a strategy of local governments to stimulate and govern the urban economy. This study enriches the literature on urban dynamics by providing an institutional understanding of rapid urban land development in a transitional economy.

Nowadays the relationship between planning land use and actual land use is not so clear in general. A lot of efforts have been put in the failures of regulation for the expansion of construction land. However, it still lacks an integrated approach to study the effectiveness of land use regulation in terms of different land use types. Furthermore, the existing evaluation of land use plan mainly focuses on a general level, a detailed research on the regulation effectiveness of each construction land use type is absent. Therefore, this research tries to evaluate regulation effectiveness of land use plan, which takes Cangwu country, Guangxi Province as an example. The finding by analysis is that the total area of construction land expansion was about 3494.73 ha, nearly 1.1 times of the plan quota. Moreover, the effectiveness differs greatly in various construction land use types. Town, industrial/mining sites can be well regulated through the quota of land use plan. While, the quota regulation system is not as effective for other type of construction land. Thus, we suggest to improve the regulation effectiveness of construction land through different plan instruments.
