“…The nitrifiers and denitrifiers are also sensitive to temperature [49]. This outcome was in agreement with the results of the Pearson coefficients ( Figure 3) and were also analogous with the results of other field studies [23,24,58].…”

“…SO 4 2− would also impact the nitrogen cycle [51], which may be another reason for the significant correlation among the three GHGs. The crucial aquatic factors were similar for CH 4 and CO 2 , with WT, DO, and Alk being recognized as key factors, which is in agreement with previous studies [20,23,26]. Chl-a was shown to have little effect on GHG emissions, which differs from previous research [14,20].…”

“…But anthropogenic wastes in these underdeveloped areas are poorly managed and can be discharged into the tributaries intentionally, or following surface runoff, causing pollution of the tributaries. In this work, microplastic pollution was studied in Xiangxi River, a typical tributary within the TGR area which has attracted great research interest previously. Planktonic samples were collected seasonally from upstream to downstream sites in the backwater area of Xiangxi River to reveal the spatial and temporal distribution patterns of microplastics in surface water and to investigate their relation with phytoplankton, zooplankton, and environmental variables. Sediment and fish samples were also collected and analyzed for microplastics to illustrate their fate.…”

“…81 What's more, vast supplies and streams worldwide have been appeared to be vital wellsprings of ozone depleting substances with water temperature being one of the key controls of the outflow rates. 64,75,[83][84][85][86][87][88][89][90][91][92][93]…”
