Spatial and temporal evolution of landscape pattern in downtown area of Jixi City, China

Abstract: Based on the technology of RS & GIS and the remote sensing images of Jixi City in 1993, 2003 and 2015, this study analyzes quantitatively the temporal and spatial evolution characters of landscape pattern in the downtown area of Jixi City in China in the past 22 years. The research results show that the area of mine land, farmland and construction land increased greatly from 1993 to 2015. As an important part of the urban natural ecosystem, the area of water area, forest and grassland are also decreasing year … Show more

“…Five periods of Landsat data are selected for November 2, 2000 (TM), February 1, 2005 (TM), January 30, 2010 (TM), January 4, 2015 (OLI) and January 18, 2020 (OLI), and the cloud cover is respectively 0 %, 0 %, 0 %, 0.1 % and 0.03 %. The land use images are processed with ENVI5.3 software according to the industry standard of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Guidelines for Classifying Land and Ocean Utilization for the National Space (Trial) [ 41 ], involving atmospheric correction, radiation correction, image stitching and cropping. The study area is reclassified into six different land use categories, including farmland, forest land, construction land, grassland, water body and unused land.…”

“…It also analyzes the causes and cultural connotations behind it, and explains the profound influence of witch culture on the ancient Chinese water control history and the modern Chinese water control activities. "Spatial and temporal evolution of landscape pattern in downtown area of Jixi City, China" (Deng et al, 2020) attempts to explore the general law of landscape pattern change under the influence of human activities in mining cities and to provide a reference for urban land use planning and scientific decision-making of relevant government departments. , deals with the psychological cognitive range in herdsmen's spatial awareness was taken as the basis for establishing a spatial network and the social network analysis method was used to quantitatively study the spatial network relationship of settlements and the layout of public service facilities in pastoral areas of Inner Mongolia.…”
