“…However, MoS 2 ‐based catalysts are still the most competitive choice due to their lower selectivity to hydrocarbons compared with other Mo catalysts . Moreover, MoS 2 ‐based catalysts doped with transition metals (Co or Ni) have also been applied effectively in water‐gas shift (WGS)/RWGS , , which means that these catalysts have potentials in CO 2 conversion and utilization.…”

“…Transition-metal sulfides, molybdenum sulfide (MoS 2 ), in particular, are good hydrogenation (HYD), dehydrogenation, and hydrogenolysis catalysts that are intrinsically tolerant to H 2 S. Indeed, MoS 2 has been shown to be active for methane coupling and alkane dehydrogenation in addition to its traditional use in hydrotreating, hydrodesulfurization (HDS), , water gas shift (WGS), and alcohol production . Few studies have shown that transition-metal sulfide catalysts can be high-performance sour gas-tolerant catalysts for the WGS reaction. We begin with the description of the structure of MoS 2 catalyst and the relevant chemistries it can catalyze.…”

“…Carbon-based supports like activated carbon and carbon nanotubes [17][18][19][20][21][22] are gaining attention because of their chemical stability and surface chemistry tunability. However, the main problem related to these materials is that their production is usually highly energy consuming.…”
